Aqwest (Bunbury Water Authority) provides drinking water to about 18,000 properties in the City of Bunbury and surrounding areas

Aqwest is committed to providing sustainable, high-quality drinking water that consistently meets or exceeds customers’ expectations.

Aqwest staff were heavy users of Microsoft Teams, and their leadership wanted a phone system solution that:

  • Integrated with Microsoft Teams messaging and provided full business phone systems functionality.
  • Helped manage customer billing enquiries and fault reporting.

As a critical infrastructure provider, Aquest’s responsibility for Bunbury’s drinking water is a 24-hour, 365 day a year operation, so the solution needed to be capable of managing calls outside office hours and be consistently reliable.

BTS delivered a solution that allows the majority of staff to manage their phone calls through the Microsoft Teams application and delivers a reliable call center solution for the customer service team.

The solution is locally supported, but the Aqwest ICT also have full control of the solution, which gives them the flexibility they need.
