The Health Hub at Eaton Fair – Telecommunications Project

As part the federal governments initiative to roll out Medicare Urgent Care Clinics nationally to deliver a new model of care to reduce pressure on hospital emergency departments, The Health Hub at Eaton Fair was chosen to be greater Bunbury’s Urgent Care Clinic (UCC).

Part of the numerous upgrades Health Hub had to undertake to the standards of a UCC, was to:

• Upgrade their phone system to deal with the increase in call traffic
• Streamline call management to ensure UCC calls are quickly directed to the right staff members

BTS were able to design and deliver a solution that:

• Professionally managed incoming calls
• Is Reliable and provided the practice detailed call reporting*
• Enterprise Ethernet to ensure the practice had a reliable internet connection with no contention with other businesses in the Eaton Fair shopping center.

*Detailed call reporting helps ensure that they are meeting UCC standards and that they can allocate resources effectively.
